THE AUTHORITY

The Authority is a body corporate with Board Members appointed by the Act and is headed by a Chief Executive Officer. The Act was established to control the operation and management of public land transport.
As of January 1, 2018 the Authority has taken on the role of issuing public land transport drivers permit and vehicle permit usually performed by Department of Customs & Inland Revenue and Municipalities and Provincial Governments respectively. Permits issued by other authorities should have been replaced in 2018. Those Permits are no longer valid

Driver & Vehicle Permit
We Ensure That all Drivers who intends to drive a Public Land Transport and Vehicle to be used as a Public Land Transport must issued with a valid Drivers & Vehicle Permit

General Driver Permit

A General Driver’s Permit is used to anyone who intends to drive a public land transport.

Tourism Driver Permit

For those who intends to drive public land transport to transport tourists

Vehicle Permit

A person must not permit his or her vehicle to be used as a public land transport unless that vehicle is issued with a valid vehicle permit
