Welcome to the official Public Land Transport Authority Website!

Welcome to the official Public Land Transport Authority Website! We are happy that you are here and explore the information we provide to the public land transport community in Vanuatu. The website has been developed as a one-stop-shop forum where you can find more and updated information on the services we provide to the general public, specific information on how to obtain a permit, the laws and other information relevant to public transport. There are annual and quarterly reports that you can read.

By visiting this website you will be able to meet the PLTA Team and the Board Members. Since mid-2017, the Team has grown from 2 staff to 10 staff this year. There are Permit Officers serving in all the 6 provinces. If you are a current transport driver and owner or intend to own a public transport, you can also find all the contact details of Permit Officers serving in your province to get more information how to obtain a permit and the requirements.

Connected to this website is the Data Base System which is accessible only by PLTA Officers. The Data Base System stores all the information about drivers and owners of public transport in Vanuatu. It provides a live update of the number of driver and vehicle permits issued each day by Permit Officers. Through the collection of information stored in the database system, we are able to provide the exact number public transport vehicles operating in each province, island and area councils. Browse through the information that provided in this Website for your needs as a public transport drivers and owner or a general member of the public. We will gladly welcome your feedback to improve on the content of this website.
